Gritters takes chalk from the first loose sketch to the final gritty finish. Its 23 pressure-sensitive brushes cover rough lines, dusty shading, bold shapes and broken surface marks, giving you one responsive set for the whole illustration.
Created by Emir Ayouni and Clark Orr, the brushes capture the dry drag, broken edges and dusty buildup of traditional chalk without becoming difficult to steer on screen. Use them for loose construction, rough linework, soft tonal buildup, thick shape work, dry highlights and the final scuffs that make an image feel handled rather than polished flat.

Gritters was created by Emir Ayouni and Clark Orr, combining G.A.R.M.’s material-focused brush development with Clark’s bold, texture-driven approach to illustration and design.
Clark Orr is an illustrator, designer and art director based in Orlando, Florida. Through CODC Studio, he creates illustration, branding, packaging and print work for independent businesses, agencies and global brands.
He also co-runs the lifestyle brand Hellcats with his wife, Brittany Reagan.
The included color library reflects both collaborators, with 8 palettes created by Clark and 8 created by Emir.
