The Mezzotint System
Originally used in Victorian era fine art prints, mezzotint was known for smooth tonal transitions and rich, velvety texture.
In Pulp & Thunder, that idea has been reworked into a 10 step brush system made for the punchier look of 1970s to 1990s comic art, poster design, editorial illustration and album cover graphics.
Use it to build shadows, gradients, tonal transitions and heavy printed depth without relying on soft digital blur.
